Dr. Matthew Henry
Dr. Henry’s passion for dentistry began years ago while working in his father’s dental office and serving on several dental mission trips to Central America. Dr. Henry maintains that same spirit of service and stewardship for his patients now. Dr. Henry firmly believes that patient relationships built on mutual trust and empathy are the foundation of any dental practice. Dr. Henry is proud to be part of Dr. Cowie’s team and looks forward to helping build on the already exemplary reputation that this practice has earned over the last 30 years.
Dr. Henry is a 2002 graduate of Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. A recipient of the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship, he went on to complete a one-year post-doctoral residency in advanced general dentistry. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Henry has served in practices in Coral Springs, Vero Beach, and Northeast Jacksonville.
In addition to a full range of cosmetic and restorative procedures, Dr. Henry also provides IV moderate sedation, implant and surgical services, endodontic services (root canals), as well as temporomandibular dysfunction treatments.
Dr. Henry is a member of the ADA, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Henry has also served as the president of the Treasure Coast Dental Society and is a guest lecturer at LECOM dental school in Defuniak Springs.
Dr. Henry has completed coursework at the Dawson Academy, the Pankey Institute, and SPEAR education. Dr. Henry believes that a dentist has a commitment to lifelong learning and continues to take dental education courses to keep his skills up-to-date.
Dr. Henry enjoys spending time with his wife, Joanna, and two daughters, Rowan and Everleigh. His personal interests include yoga, cooking, and gardening.
